Christmas & new years

The "happy days" are upon us again. Christmas is near and new year is to follow shortly after.

With this is the back of our heads 69ER wishes everyone a merry christmas and a happy new year.

During these days our servers will be running as always and everything will be done to make sure they keep on running. However the management team is taking a little break themselves as well so applications to join will likely be answered with a delay.

Enjoy the next days to come and we hope to welcome you on our servers in 2009

News

Supersonic CS 1.6 Team has now departed from Team 69ER, allowing the supersonic team to concentrate more fully on the up and coming league season in theSGL.
69ER wish them all the best and for a successful season.

Other news, the left 4 dead servers have been continuing to become more popular with at times being necessary to temperately increase the slot numbers.
So for those of you that play the l4d servers please give us any feedback in the respective forums.

As Christmas comes closer, we thought that we'd remind you all that the servers will be open throughout the holidays. so remember not to worry about the moody family or the present you never had..
Join up on a server and frag away over the Christmas period, whether its killing zombies, terrorists. spys or engineers, join in the fun..

Left 4 Dead connection options

Well as posted earlier we have 3 Left 4 Dead servers and 1 of them is private. The private server is now easily used from the lobby.

The way it works:

#1 Start game
#2 Open console
#3 Enter sv_search_key 69ER
#4 Create the lobby and set all the settings
#5 Start the game

This should get you into that 69ER servers provided its empty.

Obviously this search string can be added to either the game launch options by using +sv_search_key 69ER or to for example an autoexec.cfg file.

Happy gaming

69ER Management Team

*Thanks goes out to SaintK out in the SpecialAttack community for informing us about this little feature.*

Left 4 Dead released

Finally a new game made by Valve is coming to meet us head on.

This time its a zombie shooter featuring co-op mode where you have to escape from zombie infested levels where the zombies, items and weapons spawn at random each time you play. So its never the same.

Play as a team of 4 trying to make it from safe house to safe house picking up useful goodies along the way like pipebombs, molotov cocktails, health pills, med kits and the occasional weapon upgrade.

Or play as one of the zombies trying to stop the survivers from making it to the safe house.

A lot of people have been trying out the demo version of the game that has been out for about a week now. But now its time to play the real game full blown zombie shooting action coming our way.

As of this moment the game should be available on steam.

69ER management will decide soon if the game deserves our input with providing a game server for it or not. So dont go away to far and dont get yourself eaten alive by zombies

Happy fragging ^^

69ER Server Stats

The day has finaly come where we are happy to make stats for our servers public. I hope people will be interested in their stats and visit our website more often.

The Counter-Strike 1.6 servers have seperated stats due to different modifications on the servers, but the Team Fortress 2 servers have one together. So even you never play on both of our servers, you will still compete against the players that does.

The stats will update once a day, every day, every week.

The stats page can be found at http://www.69er.co.uk/stats or in the link "Server Stats" in the navigation to the left right beneath Server List.

Good Luck and enjoy your game!

Steam Profiles

Hi all.

I have just added a option for adding your Steam Profile ID into your profile and help others on this page to find you easier, or just to show your cool Steam rating of how long you have played. You can put up your own Steam Profile ID by going into Edit Profile to the right. All you have to fill in is your selected Steam Profile ID made through the steam community page.

You can find others Steam Profile ID by clicking on their name to view their profile, or you can look below their post in a forum thread. If there is'nt a picture of STEAM then that user have not put up their Steam Profile ID for this page.
